Alison Wheatley, MBA
President, Route One Research & Marketing Services
With more than 28 years of marketing, business and research experience, Alison Wheatley is the principal researcher at Route One Research & Marketing Services. She manages the business and handles client projects, including strategic research, marketing and business planning development, operations manuals, and implementation.
Prior to forming Route One Research & Marketing Services in 2006, Alison sharpened her business skills for almost ten years, during which time she worked as a researcher and marketer using online, telephone, in-person, and secondary methodologies.
Her expertise in research, marketing and business planning addresses and fulfills the needs of both for-profit and non-profit Canadian companies and organizations.
To further help her clients’ businesses grow and prosper, and to answer a growing need, Alison has added online marketing and operations manuals to her expertise. She sharpened the tools in her online marketing toolbox at Red Academy’s summer 2016 session of Digital Marketing.
Alison’s interest in contributing to saving our planet led her to research and market the Canadian membership of an American non-profit organization and develop it from under 100 to over 2,400 strong, working part-time over a period of four years. She also conducted needs analyses and matched volunteers’ skill sets with assignments.
Alison’s love of continuous learning lead to a BA in English, followed by a marketing management program, then an MBA that focused on best practices in research, marketing and business planning.
Route One Research & Marketing Services believes in supporting our world and the communities we work in. Alison personally supports seven charities in the humanitarian and wildlife conservation fields, including World Wildlife Fund Canada, Plan Canada, and Save the Children Canada. She also blogs for Voices For Our Planet.com.
